I am a traveller, a discoverer, an adventurer, but above all, a person with a thirst for knowledge and who loves challenges.
Born inMay 11, 1984inLyon, I am named Aala (diminutive of Aladdin in Arabic). I define myself as a “Lyonnais” of birth, a “Grenoblois” of adoption, a “Marseillais” by heart, a Tunisian in origin, a “Sahli” in blood, and a citizen of the world above all else. I am strongly commited to all cities in which I was lucky enough to live at one time or another in my life. Today, I live between the two countries that have shaped my personality:FranceandTunisia. Besides, if I was asked to choose between both I would simply say: “I can not choose, it will be the same as asking me to choose between my mother and my father.”
Throught my life I have had the opportunity to travel to several countries, in different settings. All this has led me to France, Monaco, Tunisia, Morocco, England, Netherlans, Italy, Spain, Hong-Kong, Macao, Australia, New-Zealand, Mexico, Canada, United States.
All these trips have forged my character, open my mind, sharpened my curiosity and thirst for adventure. Since I started my world tour in November 2009, I haven’t stopped thinking about the next trip, the next country that I will discover.
Having learned and improved my English in some English-speaking countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canadaand the United States, I launched to myself the challenge to learn a new culture and language. This is why today I am in Japan for a year (or more if everything is going well), with the mission to discover this country, its culture, its History and its wealth. Note that I have no over whelming passion for this country, just an attraction to novelty and discovery. I am not an Otaku, or a Geek or a Japan fetish, I am just a simple traveller.
Aala
